Background
Steve is based in the Wickford office and has worked as a law costs consultant since 1990. His journey has seen him rise through the ranks at Aestima to become a key member of the team and a director of the company.
Steve has assisted clients in dealing with costs in virtually every forum and his experience ranges from preparing costs budgets in the County Court, through to detailed assessment hearings at the Supreme Court. He has the ability to take on any job, even at short notice, and always ensures that the client’s needs are serviced.
Acting for both receiving parties and paying parties ensures he has a balanced and pragmatic approach, whether working with sole practitioners or large city firms. He considers that ‘the devil is in the detail’ and it is this meticulous attitude that ensures the best possible result for the client.
Dealing with all aspects of civil costs, Steve has particular expertise in dealing with commercial litigation, Judicial Review and Court of Protection and Deputyship costs. He is able to assist clients with anything from straightforward advice through to a detailed assessment. Training seminars are also regularly offered to clients.
Outside of work, Steve’s varied interests include inter alia cycling, beekeeping and malt whisky!
