Have you as an Accountant been asked to quantify the value of a solicitor’s practice?
Increasingly our team of law costs consultants are being retained to assist in this type of work. Our experience in this specialist area ensures a comprehensive and cost effective service, with the assurance of an accurate quantification of the work in progress.
Is your organisation questioning the value for money of your purchased legal services?
Our team is experienced in performing in-house file inspections, with auditing undertaken to highlight expensive and unnecessary services. Equally we can also offer the reassurance of knowing that you are being correctly charged.
Are your in-house legal team fully conversant with the complexities of inter partes claims for costs?
Let Aestima be your ‘in-house’ costs department. We are able to offer our services in this area at whatever level you require. Inter partes costs orders can often be intricate and complex, which is where our law costs consultants’ expertise can prove invaluable.
We were approached by a firm of accountants to assist with the quantification of work in progress in a solicitor’s partnership dispute.
The case concerned an extremely busy solicitor’s practice that had an extraordinarily high volume of work in progress for their size. Not only that, but the underlying partnership dispute was extremely acrimonious, with mistrust on both sides.
Aestima’s appointment was approved by the court and we were able to prepare an accurate and impartial valuation of the work in progress. We achieved this on time and within budget, which helped to facilitate resolution of the dispute.
